INFORMATION SESSION #1

This information was presented by GAMESTRONG's high performance coaches, Nan Latta and Jo Bowden, who are masters athletes and have over 25 years of experience working with female athletes.

Session 1: Why GAMESTRONG Exists

This session discusses how, as women age, strength, speed, recovery, hormonal balance, and movement patterns shift. Generic training programs do not support these changes, leading to preventable injuries and inconsistent performance. GAMESTRONG bridges the gap!

Session 2: Run Conditioning for Masters Athletes

This Session discusses how important it is to be as athletic as possible for as long as possible. What does being athletic mean?. It is the ability to move with purpose, confidence, and coordination across a wide range of situations. Jo provides information on how best to structure your week and improve your athleticism.

Session 3: Risks of not strength training for Master's Women Athletes

The following areas are discussed:

1. Accelerated Muscle Loss (Sarcopenia)

2. Increased Injury Risk (Tendons, Joints & Soft Tissue)

3. Bone Density Loss (Fracture Risk)

4. Loss Of Power & Speed (First Qualities To Go)
